The latest OFSTED report describes Dyke House as “a good school” stating that “there are many reasons why the school is successful, the most significant of which are the exceptional leadership, first rate teaching and learning and excellent care, guidance and support.”
Achievement is central to our vision, and the school’s 2013 GCSE results made Dyke House the most improved secondary school in the country whilst the 2014 results had Dyke House rated as the number 1 school in the Real Schools Guide. In 2015 our progress 8 measure was extremely positive and pleasing. The school is breaking new ground in terms of curriculum innovation and teaching styles with an incessant and unrelenting focus on achievement and high expectations.
Dyke House is built on both staff and students having exceptionally high expectations, doing the simple things right, and the belief that all children can succeed. Our calm working atmosphere creates well-rounded individuals who excel in the arts, on the sporting field and academically. All learners, regardless of ability, benefit from the innovative and enlightened approaches to teaching and learning within the Academy.
